Ben Franklin America's Original Entrepreneur: Autobiography Adapted for Modern Times by Blaine McCormick

I was intersted in learning a bit more about our founding fathers. I know a little about Benjamin Franklin, but wanted to learn more. He was an amazing man. I was in awe at all that he accomplished in his life, and the self will that he had. He knew what was right, and how to live a fulfilling life. This was an quick way to find out about him without reading the entire Autobiography. There were excerpts from his original Autobiography with commentary by the author to further understand the time and setting.

The Christmas Box by Richard Paul Evans

I know spring is coming, and I am reviewing a Christmas book. No, I did not just read this book. I read it at Christmas time, but since I recently started this blog, now is when I am posting about it. This is a fun, quick read. It is a cute Christmas story about the importance of families. So, when winter comes, cuddle up with warm blanket and enjoy a few hours with "The Christmas Box".

The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman

This is another of our Favorites. It contains the five different ways to express love, and describes each of them in detail. As you read, you not only discover what your "Primary Love Language" is, but also what your spouses is. We read this book when we were first married, and it helped us alot. We were able to understand one another and could better express love to each other.

There is also another book he wrote called The five love languages of children that we recently purchased. It uses the same Five languages but helps you understand how to best show love to your children in their "Primary Love Language".

The Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason

This is a great book; one of my Favorites. It is just a fictional story, but it relates so well to real life. Even though it is set back in Babylonian time, the financial implications are relevant to today. This book portrayes financial freedom in a real life story that was easy to follow and understnad. A must read for everyone.

The Christmas Sweater by Glen Beck

A very good Christmas Book! Captivating story, I couldn't put the book down. A great way to teach what really matters in life, in a touching story. Be prepared with your kleenex, it is a tear jerker.

The Water Babies by Charles Kingsley

This was our bookclub book for last month. It was a charming fairly tale with very fanciful sea creatures and experiences. It has a lot of good moral values portrayed throughout the story -a good discussion book, to compare real life lessons and situations. There is enough action to keep you engaged in the book without being able to guess what was going to happen next. It was a very easy read with big type and beautiful art throughout.
